Product Description

These brass meshes are plain square weave (over one, under one). Brass is superior to copper wire mesh in abrasion resistance, tensile strength. Chemical composition: copper and zinc alloy (copper content 60% to 70%) Brass can be soldered with lead or silver solder. Brass may discolor due to atmospheric conditions and is not suitable for salt water use (monel is the best for salt water and stainless steel type 316 is second best). Weaving meets ANSI/AWCI - 01 -1992 and ASTM E 2016-11 and RRW 360. Electrical conductivity is considerably lower than that for copper wire.
